A fourth-quarter rally from LeBron James proved in vain as the Boston Celtics held on to claim a 117-113 win against Cleveland in their Eastern Conference showdown in Boston on Monday.
James had 42 points for the match, including 20 in the final quarter. but missed two free throws in the final 16 seconds and a pair of 3-pointers, enabling the 2008 champion Celtics to hold on for victory.
In today's other big NBA match-up Manu Ginobili scored 32 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 100-81 road win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
