Adams gave birth to her first child seven weeks ago.

The 33 year old has since got back into the gym.

Her manager Nick Cowen says she's returned to training earlier than planned although she's taking things carefully.

He says Adams is adjusting to a different way of doing things and is being conservative in her approach and plans.

However he says she has her sights firmly set on winning a fourth straight Commonwealth Games title.

Cowen says at this stage there are no events planned for the summer and that the system is robust enough to allow her to compete at the Commonwealth Games without any prior competition.

However he says Adams would probably want to have some competition before the games.

Adams has previously said competing on the Gold Coast would be like competing at home and would be a great way to go out.
