The Breakers battled for much of the game, before a timeout halfway through the third quarter sparked the ladder-leaders into action, outscoring the Bullets 48-31 from that moment on.

Edgar Sosa continued his roll with 24 points, while fellow backcourt mate DJ Newbill chipped in with 19 and Shea Ili added 16.

Imports Travis Trice (18 points) and Perrin Buford (17) were the seventh placed Bullets' top scorers.

After having a full week off, a rusty Breakers - minus Kirk Penney, due to back tightness - lacked early energy and were down 51-42 midway through the third quarter.

But the Breakers ended the third term on a 19-7 run going on to take the game by a comnfortable 8 point margin and maintain their position at the top of the NBL ladder.

The Breakers next game is at home against the second placed Perth Wildcats on Dec 1.
