The Tall Black guard Kirk Penney is making the most of his opportunity to return to basketball's NBA, scoring 31 points for the Sioux Fall Skyforce in his first start for the side in the NBA development league.
The side is a feeder club for NBA sides the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Miami Heat and Penney has signed a short term contract with the Skyforce ahead of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Penney, who has previous NBA experience with both the Heat and the Los Angeles Clippers, has played two games for the club but this was his first start.
He told the local Argus Leader newspaper he's still trying to learn the team patterns and feels half the time time he doesn't know what he's doing.
