The New Zealand junior men's basketball team has been beaten 89-54 by the Greek junior side in Athens.
After a hectic travel schedule that resulted in them only arriving in Athens the day before, the New Zealanders were slow to start, conceding the first 12 points to the world silver medallists.
Shaquille Hohipa-Wilson top scored for the New Zealanders with 18 points.
They face Greece twice more over the next two days, before heading to Strasbourg for two outings against France and then to Germany for the Albert Schweitzer Tournament.
