The Australian cricket captain Ricky Ponting says he's sweating on the fitness of all-rounder Shane Watson for Saturday's second and final Test against New Zealand in Hamilton.
Watson missed Australia's 10-wicket win at the Basin Reserve with a thigh strain and was replaced by opener Phillip Hughes who hit a dashing 86 not out from 75 deliveries to wrap up the first test yesterday.
Ponting says Hughes is an exciting player, but Watson's all-round talents add to the side's balance especially with his pace bowling.
The Australians travel to Hamilton today and will train at Seddon Park tomorrow and Friday.
