The New Zealand team to compete at the world athletic champs in London next week has been increased to twelve with the late addition of two throwers.
Hammer thrower Julia Ratcliffe failed to post a qualifying mark but the has received an IAAF invitation so the field will have its full quota of 32 competitors.
Ratcliffe who recently graduated from Princeton University, was a silver medallist at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games three years ago.
The 28-year-old discus thrower Marshall Hall from Invercargill is in the same boat having missed out on posting a qualfying mark has received an IAAF invitation.
It will be the first time Hall has represented New Zealand at a major championship.
