The Black Ferns Sevens ended the series with a 16-point gap on the series standings over closest rival Australia.

Earlier New Zealand beat Fiji 31-7 in the quarter-finals and France 21-7 in the semi-finals.

The New Zealanders won five out of the six tournaments in the series and lost only one game in the entire season.

Coach Allan Bunting said he was very proud of them.

"Absolutely stocked, the ladies have been outstanding all year round, right from day start and then right to day finish. Winning the series wasn't enough for us we wanted to play and leave money out on this field every time we took it so they certainly achieved that."

Speedster Michaela Blyde was the top try scorer for the series and Tyla Nathan-Wong landed the most conversions.
