McNamara has been appointed head coach of the Perpignan-based Catlans Dragons.
The 45-year-old McNamara, who's from the UK, joined the Warriors coaching staff this year after previously working with the Sydney Roosters.
He was also an assistant coach for the Kiwis national team.
McNamara's already been released from his contract so he can join the Dragons before this weekend's Super League match against Warrington.
