The Stormers centre Shaun Treeby has been cited for alleged foul play during his side's 30-22 Super Rugby win over the Blues in Cape Town yesterday.
Treeby is on a dangerous tackle charge for the high hit he put on Blues first five Piers Francis.
Francis suffered a concussion and is expected to miss next weekend's game.
Treeby was penalised for the tackle, but the citing commissioner has deemed the incident met the red card threshold for foul play.
Treeby is a New Zealander and use to play for the Highlanders.
