The New Zealand Cross Country Skier, Katie Calder, has withdrawn from today's 30 kilometre Mass Start in at the Winter Olympics in Canada.
After contracting a stomach bug earlier in competition, Calder has failed to regain the weight she lost.
High Performance Director of the Winter Performance Programme, Ashley Light, says Calder would not have the stamina necessary to contest the endurance event.
New Zealand's next and final competitor in Vancouver will be Ben Koons who will take on the king of cross country events, the 50 kilometre Mass Start, on Monday just ahead of the Vancouver 2010 Closing Ceremony.
