Australia all-rounder Shane Watson had plenty to say and so did the Wellington crowd but ultimately the tourists had the last word, cruising to a six wicket win in the opening Twenty20 cricket international.
Australia has a one nil lead in the two-match series with man-of-the-match Mitchell Johnson taking 3-19 as New Zealand was bowled out for 118 in 20 overs.
The tourists reached the target with four overs to spare, although Shane Watson was public enemy number one, after a verbal stoush with the Black Caps top scorer James Franklin, who made 43.
Franklin says he doesn't know what triggered the exchange but they're both competitive players and it's all a bit of fun and games.
Game two is in Christchurch on Sunday.
