Vonn to race slalom despite broken finger

The American skier Lindsey Vonn will chase her third Olympic Alpine skiing medal in the slalom tomorrow with a modified glove to ease the pain of a fractured finger.

Vonn has been training for the event despite a crash in the giant slalom yesterday which left her nursing the little finger on her right hand.

Vonn says she's been able to modify her right hand glove and make a brace, which seems to be easing the pain.

The American has crashed in two of her four races so far, while winning a gold and bronze medal in the other two events.
