The English football club Manchester United has been hit with a double injury blow ahead of next week's League Cup final against Aston Villa.
Brazilian midfielder Anderson could be sidelined after he limped off the field during United's win over West Ham today with a suspected twisted knee.
Meanwhile England defender Rio Ferdinand will miss the final after he aggrevated a back problem during training, and is also likely to miss England's friendly with Egypt next week.
Ferdinand had hoped to make his return from suspension against West Ham today.
