The Indian Express news website is reporting a judges' panel has directed banks to freeze the Board's accounts in a dispute over the disbursement of money to member associations

The website quotes a senior board official as saying they "have no option other than to call off the India-New Zealand series as our banks have decided to freeze BCCI accounts."

The official is also quoted as saying the board doesn't want India to be humiliated in front of the world and cannot function while its accounts are frozen.

A spokesperson for New Zealand Cricket says they have heard the reports, but have had no official contact from the BCCI and are preparing for the third test in Indore as scheduled.

That Test and five one day internationals are still to be played
