Hockey New Zealand has decided to send the men's hockey team to the World Cup in Delhi.
Hockey New Zealand chief executive Hillary Poole says she has assessed advice from the New Zealand Government and an independent security advisor, reassuring her that the required level of security is in place to keep the team in the tournament.
Ms Poole says she has been liaising with the other participating nations and all of them still plan to attend the World Cup.
She says all players from the current Black Sticks Team will travel to Delhi, apart from Simon Child, who has made a personal decision to return to New Zealand.
