Former All Black lock Ali Williams is making a shock return to rugby.
Dan Carter's French club Racing 92 has announced that they've signed the former World Cup winner for next season.
The 35-year-old retired from the game in 2015 after a stint at Toulon - joining in 2013 and forming part of a formidable forward pack that included fellow All Black Carl Hayman.
Since then has been a television pundit but has now decided to return to the playing field for the Top 14 champions ahead of 2016/17.
Williams will join fellow former All Blacks Carter, Joe Rokocoko and Chris Masoe at Racing.
