U.S. challengers BMW Oracle have provisionally won the 33rd America's Cup, beating Swiss holders Alinghi in the second race to claim the best-of-three series 2-nil.
Software mogul Larry Ellison's hi-tech trimaran beat Alinghi by more than a kilometre or 5 and a half minutes in the second race off the Spanish port of Valencia.
The results are provisional, with Alinghi flying a protest flag over an as yet undetermined infringement.
