The world number one golfer carded a second-round one under par 70, at Sahalee Country Club to sit at one-under for the Championship, one stroke behind the leaders.

The 19-year old New Zealander is aiming for her third Major trophy in a row after she won this year's ANA Inspiration in California and last year's Evian Championship in France.

Canada's Brooke Henderson continues to sit on top of the leaderboard in Washington despite a 69 on day two in Sammamish.

Henderson is tied for the lead with Korea's Mirim Lee who struck a solid second-round 69.

Meanwhile, Ko's compatriot, Tim Wilkinson, has missed the cut by one stroke at the latest PGA tour event in Memphis.
