McKay ruled out of Bangladesh Test

Fast bowler Andy McKay will have to wait for his Test cricket debut after a mild foot injury ruled him out of the one-off Test against Bangladesh, which starts in Hamilton on Monday.

Northern Districts bowler Brent Arnel comes into the team as a replacement.

The team physiotherapist Kate Stalker says McKay started experiencing pain in his foot during last week's one day series and the pain intensified today during training.

The Black Cap selectors spokesman Mark Greatbatch says it's a precautionary measure as it'd be unwise to risk aggravating McKay's injury for the sake of a one-off Test match.
