Uncapped Northland teenager Hannah Wilkinson has been included in a 19-strong Football Ferns squad for next week's two-match series against Australia in Auckland and the Cyprus Cup a week later.
The 17-year-old's selection follows a breakthrough display at last month's OFC under-20 championships.
Wilkinson scored five goals in three games at the U-20 qualifiers including a hat-trick on her age-group debut, prompting New Zealand coach John Herdman to include her for the matches against the Matildas on Wednesday and Saturday.
Wilkinson's under-20 striker partner Rosie White reclaims her place in the senior ranks after a goal-laden return from injury in the OFC under-20 championships that netted a golden boot-winning nine goals in just three starts.
While a total of 19 players have been named, just 18 will be used for each of the Australia series and the Cyprus cup that begins on February 24th in the Mediterranean.
