Australian teams have heaped more misery on their New Zealand counterparts in the trans-Tasman netball competition.

The Christchurch based Tactix and the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic were soundly beatean by the Melbourne Vixens and the Perth based West Coast Fever respectively last night.

The Vixens beat the Tactix 69-48 in Christchurch as the Tactix were denied a third straight win.

Shooters Mwai Kumwenda and Bailey Mes both had off nights.

Kumwenda shooting 78 percent, which is low by her standards while Mes had only a 63 percent success rate.

The Magic's 58-44 loss to the West Coast Fever means they have now lost all six of their matches this season and equalling their longest ANZ Championship losing streak.

The win marked the first time the Fever had managed to beat the Magic in New Zealand.

The Magic were again without Silver Ferns Leana de Bruin and Grace Rasmussen through injury.

The Magic sit at the bottom of the competition with the Tactix second on the New Zealand ladder.
