Celtic reduce Rangers' Premisership lead

Celtic have kept their faint Scottish Premier League football title hopes alive by reducing Rangers' lead at the top of the table to eight points with a 2-nil win over Hearts.

Celtic were unable to score before half-time, but it took just four minutes of the second-half for the home side to find an opener through Glenn Loovens, who scored off Diomansy Kamara's corner.

Marc-Antoine Fortune repaid his manager's faith after being restored to the starting line-up by slotting home the second goal less than 60 seconds later to leave Hearts winless since Jim Jefferies return for a second spell as manager.

Rangers only managed a draw with Motherwell, scoring late to take one point from the 1-1 score at Fir Park.
