The Wellington Phoenix have continued their march up the A-league football table with a 1-nil win over Gold Coast last night lifting the side into the top four for the first time.
The Phoenix were guaranteed their first ever playoff's appearance after Adelaide beat North Queensland on Saturday and with last nights win over Gold Coast and Perth's loss to Sydney FC, the Wellingtonians now find themselves in fourth place, just one win away from securing a home semi-final.
The Phoenix captain Andrew Durante says playing the semi-final at Westpac Stadium would give his side a massive advantage over their opponents.
Their final regular season match is against Central Coast in Wellington on Friday night.
