Five New Zealand players through to the last eight at ITF Junior tennis tournament in Auckland, including the 15th seed,.Anton Bettinck, who knocked out the top seed and fellow New Zealander Ben McLachlan, 6-4 6-4.
Bettinck will play CF Wang of Taipei in the quarter-finals where the fourth seed, Aucklander Adam Lee, will face Jack Schipanski of Australia.
Lee's doubles partner, Jaden Grinter will play James Kong of Hong Kong in the singles quarter-final. Lee and Grinter are also through to the doubles semi-final.
The girls' top seed, Briar Preston, will play Ayane Iwai of Japan with the other New Zealander to progress to the girls quarters, Katherine Westbury, to play Molly Polak of Australia tomorrow.
