Fabio Capello has vowed to remain the England football coach until Euro 2012 even though he and his FA bosses can mutually cancel his contract after the World Cup in June.
The 63-year-old Italian, who steered England to nine wins from 10 qualifying matches, told reporters ahead of next Sunday's Euro 2012 draw in Warsaw he hoped to stay for that tournament too.
Capello has guided his team to 15 wins in 21 overall matches since taking charge in January 2008.
