Cash-strapped football club Portsmouth have had their transfer embargo lifted by the English Premier League.
The embargo has been in place since October, with bottom-placed Portsmouth owing money to several clubs.
But the EPL says the board has lifted the player registration embargo on the club because Portsmouth no longer has any outstanding debts to football clubs.
The embargo lift means manager Avram Grant can bring players to the struggling club in what remains of the January transfer window, but the club has been restricted to signing players on just loan or free transfers.
