The New Zealand NBA basketball player Steven Adams has made a few fans in Washington.
Adams and his Oklahoma City Thunder scored an emphatic 125-101 win over the Wizards to move to the top of the Northwest division.
Adams, the Thunder's free-throw-challenged centre, lined up to shoot a pair of foul shots midway through the fourth quarter.
He missed the first, then the scoreboard flashed offering a "free Chick-Fil-A sandwich" if failed to convert the second.
Adams duly missed and the crowd erupted in what was otherwise a disappointing night for the Wizards' fans.
Adams is shooting just 45 percent from the free-throw line this season.
He scored four points and pulled down six rebounds in the win over the Wizards.
Meanwhile, the Thunder lost star forward Kevin Durant to a hamstring injury.
