Pakistan is the Twenty20 cricket world champion but its players have been snubbed at the third Indian Premier League auction and that's prompted Pakistan's sports minister Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani to complain to his Indian counterpart .
Eleven Pakistanis, including the flamboyant all-rounder Shahid Afridi, missed in the auction in which only the New Zealand fast bowler Shane Bond and West Indies allrounder Keiron Pollard reached the cap of just over $1 million.
Oith only 11 of the 66 players up for bid were sold.
Multi-millionaire owners of the eight clubs declined to comment but a franchise official, said they weren't sure the Pakistan players would get visas and there were also security concerns.
Pakistani cricketers took part in the IPL's inaugural season in 2008, but their governement denied them permission to play last year because of growing political tensions with India.
