The Wellington Phoenix's new recruit says his stunning debut wasn't inspired by trying to justify his playing creditentials.
Eugene Dadi, cut from the Perth Glory after seeing little time game this season, scored two goals in the Phoenix 3-1 win against Brisbane in their A league game last evening in Wellington.
The 36-year-old says he just wanted to repay the faith the Phoenix have in him.
The win has elevated the Phoenix to fourth on the A league ladder.
