The New Zealand tennis player Marina Erakovic has confirmed her US Open is over.
Erakovic was forced to retire from her opening round singles match against second seed Simona Halep of Romania on Wednesday.
She said she had suffered a recurrence of a knee injury and was struggling to put weight on it.
Afterwards Erakovic said she wasn't sure if she'd be able to play doubles with her British partner Heather Watson.
However she has now Tweeted that it is not the US Open she wanted this year and apologised to her supporters and Watson.
Erakovic says she'll be back again.
