The AC Milan coach Leonardo says he is unlikely to play David Beckham at full back in this week's home Serie A football match, despite a number of his players unavailable through injury.
Beckham has rejoined the Italian club for the next five months on loan from the LA Galaxy and says he would be happy to play in an unaccustomed defensive role with Milan's Massimo Oddo out injured.
But Leonardo says Beckham is unlikely to feature in Oddo's place against Genoa this week because the team is well-covered in the full back position.
Beckham's chances of starting in his first game back for Milan have been boosted by minor injuries to two of the side's midfielders, which could rule them out for the Genoa game.
