Successful international swim coach Mark Regan has been selected as the new head coach for Swimming New Zealand.

The appointment is an important move for Swimming New Zealand, with Regan having great success as the head coach at the Australian Institute of Sport and as the head swim coach in Denmark.

Regan says he has high hopes for New Zealand swimmers, although it will take some time before we see consistent world class results.

Mark Regan repalces Jan Cameron as coach, who will focus on her role as Swimming New Zealand's general manager of performance and pathways.
