The opening day of the ASB Classic womens tennis tournament has been plagued by rain.
Play was scheduled to start at 11am but showers in Auckland have forced the programme to go on hold.
The top seed and third seed were scheduled to get their singles campaigns started early today while New Zealand's Marina Erakovic is waiting to get her doubles action started.
