Steve Williams has won the second national speedway title of his career, after taking out the New Zealand Saloon Car title in Mt Maunganui on Saturday.
Williams edged out defending champion Brent McClymont on the line at the end of the 20 lap race, to head the 65 car field at Baypark Speedway.
It's the second Super Saloon title for Williams, after he won on the same track in 2006.
The New Zealander is currently on a break from caddying, after Tiger Woods took an indefinite leave from golf to try to save his marriage.
