The Hurricanes are nervously awaiting the results of a scan on injured flanker Ardie Savea ahead of Saturday night's Super rugby final against the Highlanders in Wellington.

Savea left the field in the win over the ACT Brumbies while Nehe Milner Skudder also limped off the field on Saturday night with a hamstring injury.

Right wing, Cory Jane is also nursing a hamstring injury that saw him miss the side's 29-9 semi final win.

Hurricanes coach Chris Boyd said Ardie Savea underwent a scan earlier today on his knee, but the extent of his injury is not known yet.

"He's actually pulled up quite well to be honest so that's promising and Cory and Nehe's hamstrings will undergo further testing and evaluation this afternoon. I don't suspect either of them will be cleared in or out until Thursday."

Chris Boyd said a decision will also be made later this week as to whether first five Beauden Barrett or utility James Marshall will be given kicking duties.

Meanwhile the Highlanders are injury free after first Lima Sopoaga was cleared of concussion.

Sopoaga left the field after suffering a head knock in their semi final win over the New South Wales Waratahs but returned to the field after a concussion test.

A team spokesman said Sopoaga has been monitored over the past couple of days and is fine.
