Northern Districts have beaten the Southern Express of Sri Lanka by seven wickets in their first qualifying match at the Champions League Twenty20 tournament in India.
Weather delayed the start of the match which was reduced to 10 overs each.
The Sri Lankans scored 92 for five with Trent Boult taking two for 12 and Ish Sodhi none for 10.
In reply Kane Williamson made 52 as Northern reached their target with three balls to spare.
Williamson's 52 came off 29 balls.
He says it was nice to contribute like that.
Williamson says a 10-over game like that can be fickle so it was nice to hit a few out of the middle and put together partnerships with all the blokes that came in.
The Knights will be all but assured of qualification for the main draw with a further win from their next two qualifying games.
They're back in action against the Lahore Lions overnight Tuesday/Wednesday.
