Blackcaps selectors resist temptation to make wholesale changes

6:47 pm on 7 December 2009

The New Zealand selectors have made just one change to the squad for the third cricket test against Pakistan in Napier, despite the Blackcaps dismal batting effort in the second test in Wellington.

The Northern Districts batsman BJ Watling comes into the squad taking the place of Peter Fulton who once again failed to transfer domestic form onto the international stage.

The Blackcaps selector Mark Greatbatch concedes there was a lot of discussion about the batting line-up but says it isn't the time for wholesale changes.

The third Test against Pakistan starts in Napier on Friday.
