The New Zealand middle distance athlete Nikki Hamblin has finished fifth in the 1500 metres final at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
Hamblin, who won the silver medal four years ago, was in contention until the last 200 metres, but faded as the leaders picked up the pace.
Elsewhere the New Zealand men's 4 x 100 medley relay team finished fifth in their final in the pool.
The Hamilton boxer David Nyika is guaranteed a medal after winning his 81-kilo quarter-final against an Indian opponent with a points decision.
Nyika will fight Sean McGlinchy of Northern Ireland in the semi-finals.
