Queen's horse tests positive

A prominent racehorse owned by the Queen has tested positive for the banned substance morphine.

Buckingham Palace has announced that Estimate, the winner of last year's Ascot Gold Cup, was one of five horses under various trainers who were found by the British Horseracing Authority to be affected.

The Queen's bloodstock and racing advisor John Warren said in a statement that initial indications suggest the positive test resulted from the consumption of a contaminated feed product.
