The Hurricanes coach Mark Hammett will take his strength and conditioning coach Paul Downes with him when he moves to Wales later this year.
Hammett is taking over as director of rugby with the Cardiff Blues.
Downes has previously worked with the Blues and New Zealand age group teams.
