The British driver Jenson Button says he wants to stay loyal to the Brawn team which saved him from the Formula One scrapheap and propelled him to the world title.

Button has yet to sign a contract with Brawn for next season but says he'll not be asking silly money to stay on and defend the crown he claimed in the season's penultimate race in Brazil on Monday.

Button, who took a hefty pay cut and paid for his own travel on budget airlines this season, says he's not that expensive compared to some drivers.

He says the most important thing in his career is to be in a great car, a competitive car and this year was the first time he's really been in that position.

Button says he wants to continue achieving in the sport... he's not one of those drivers that wants to find a new team that will pay more money.

The 29-year-old, Britain's 10th world champion, will be in a strong negotiating position when he sits down with team boss Ross Brawn to discuss his future.
