Kiwis fight back to beat Tonga

The Kiwis rallied late to score a 40-24 victory over Tonga in their one-off rugby league Test in Rotorua.

The Kiwis led 24-8 at half time but Tonga fought back to draw level at 24-all midway through the second half.

However the world champions, which included 4 new caps in their side, sealed the win with 3 tries in the final quarter.

New Zealand scored 8 tries to 5 with debutant winger Bryson Goodwin, who plays for the Bulldogs, scoring 2 along with captain Benji Marshall.

The Kiwis kick off their Four Nations campaign against Australia at the Twickenham Stoop in London on October 24th.

England and France are also involved in the competition.
