North Harbour professional Michael Hendry has won the Port Taranaki Open in New Plymouth.
Hendry shot a one-over par 73 in brutal weather conditions, with players braving continual rain, and bitterly cold winds at the New Plymouth Golf Club.
The 29 year old finished on eight-under par to hold off former winner Doug Holloway by two shots, with defending champion Troy Ropiha a further two shots back.
