The former Belgium football international Stein Huysegem's poised to leave the Wellington Phoenix at the end of the season, with contract negotiations at an impasse, according to his Melbourne-based agent.
The 31-year-old striker sits joint second on the A-League goalscoring ladder with 10 goals, while the club's in eighth spot and still in contention for the playoffs.
But Huysagems' agent Dragan Jetvic has told football website the World Game that his charge is looking elsewhere in the A-League, Asia and possibly back in Belgium after being unable to reach terms with Phoenix.
Jetvic says Huysegems, who turns 32 in June, wants a two-year deal but has been offered a one-year extension and is all but resigned to leaving the club.
