Adams wins world indoor title for third time

The double Olympic champion Valerie Adams has continued her dominance of world shot put, winning her third world indoor title in Poland.

Adams winning throw of 20.67 metres was 71 centimetres ahead of nearest rival, with all five of her throws over the 20 metre mark.

Her closest competitor was Germany's Christina Schwanitz who threw of 19.94 metres, with China's Lijiao Gong a distant third with 19.24 metres.

It means Adams is now unbeaten in the her past 44 competitions, going back to August 2010.

Meanwhile, Nick Willis has finished 4th in the 1500m final.
