The All Blacks captain Richie McCaw is expected to be out of rugby for up to 8 weeks after breaking his thumb in last night's Super Rugby loss to the Blues in Auckland.
His left hand is now in a cast.
It's a setback for the Crusaders who have lost both their games so far in the competition.
