The Kiwi international rugby league prop David Fa'alogo has been sacked by the South Sydney NRL club along with coach Jason Taylor after the pair were involved in an altercation at an end of season function in a Sydney hotel last week.
It's alleged Taylor had playfully slapped Fa'alogo before the player punched him back, causing Taylor to fall down a flight of stairs.
South Sydney have appointed John Lang as coach for the next two seasons.
Lang's last role as head coach was with Penrith from 2002-2006, which included a premiership triumph in 2003.
