League convert Benji Marshall appears set to begin his Super Rugby career at fullback for the Blues this weekend in their season opener against the Highlanders in Dunedin.
Chris Noakes seems set to run out in the No.10 jersey on Saturday, with Blues coach Sir John Kirwan hinting that Marshall's not ready for the responsibility after just 3 pre-season games at first five.
The All Black Charles Piutau took a knock on the weekend so Benji Marshall could be given the fullback role when the team's named on Thursday. He could also come off the bench in the playmaker's role.
