The American golfer Kevin Stadler has won his first PGA Tour title, beating countryman Bubba Watson by one shot, winning the Phoenix Open in Arizona.

The win earns Stadler a place at the Masters in April where he'll compete alongside his father Craig, a former champion at Augusta National.

Craig Stadler won the 1982 Masters tournament along with 12 other PGA Tour titles and the pair become the ninth father-son combination to win titles on the U.S. circuit.
